Such power, such elegance.
If anyone ever asked me what I would like for the holiday season this would be it.
Apple MacBook Pro

A 15-inch laptop that is more powerful than my PC! I can already imagine tons of fun stuff I could do with one. True, there maybe some more powerful desktop replacement laptops out there, but this one, with it's sleek exterior, took my breath away.
I want one. I really, really, want one

Kenbontong TDJ-0825BKM1-Y Flat Antenna Review
The Kenbontong TDJ-0825BKM1-Y Flat Antenna, made by kenbontong Communications LTD. is an external wireless antenna that can be used with for different applications such as CDMA, GSM, 3G, WLAN, and Bluetooth networks.
In comparison to the provided ZTE antenna, the external antenna gave a 40dBm signal boost to our wireless modems, using HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, and GPRS. It also survived exposure to 3 Typhoons and continued to operate under those conditions.

512kpbs connection downloading at 64KB/s
Why is your 512kbps connection downloading at only 64KB/sec?
I asked this question too when I first encountered broadband connections in the internet shops of Manila a couple of years back. The staff (who were also my friends by the way) kindly answered my question, it was all about units they said. Here's the short explanation.
Pay close attention to the letters. kbps means kilobits per second as compared to kB/s which is kilobytes per second. Most browsers display download speed in kB/s.
384kbps = 48kB/s
512kbps = 64kB/s
1Mbps = 125kB/s
If your connection is downloading at a slower rate consider the following.
1. other applications you are running that use the internet like antivirus and update programs
2. the number of open websites on your browser that may be streaming media
3. the speed of the website you are downloading from as some limit maximum download speed
4. viruses and spyware
5. your ISP (internet service provider) may not be delivering their promised speed.
Hope that helps!
